Were raising a glass to a milestone year. Join Grounded Running for the 5th annual Beer Mile at Shellring Ale Works, a Beaufort tradition that blends endurance, responsibly consumed beer, and community impact into one unforgettable afternoon.
Participants will complete four laps of a designated course, drinking one 12-ounce beer before each lap, for a total of four beers and one mile. As always, this event will follow official Beer Mile rules to ensure fairness, safety, and legitimacy.
Official Beer Mile Rules
Participants must be 21 years or older.
Beer must be 12 oz per lap, consumed before starting each lap.
Beer must be fully consumed before beginning the lap. No spilling, dumping, or assistance.
No shotgunning, funneling, or modified containers.
The total distance equals one mile (four laps).
The event is run on a closed, clearly marked course.
Safety and sportsmanship come first. Rule violations may result in disqualification.
Why We Run
All proceeds from the event benefit CAPA of Beaufort, supporting their mission to prevent child abuse through education, advocacy, and family support. For five years, this event has been about more than running and beerits about showing up for our community.
