Beaufort Running Weekend
Join Grounded Running and the Beaufort Track Club for a fun weekend of events right here in your backyard. Grounded Running is hosting several events on January 14, 2017 including a Group Run, Discussion Panel on Training & Racing and you can always hop in a last minute 5k on Dataw Island, presented by the LowCountry Habitat for Humanity.
The day will begin with their weekly Group Run at 7:00am. This week the group of walkers and runners will be at the Spanish Moss Trail (Depot Road parking area). We will have groups running between 2-10 miles and will break off into different pace to ensure that everyone is running exactly the distance and pace they desire. Runners and walkers of all abilities are encouraged to join the free group run. CLICK HERE
Saturday Night, we are hosting the first Health & Fitness Expo of 2017 with our in-store discussion panel: Training & Racing Smart in 2017, featuring local runners and coaches, Kevin Green, Sara Maltby and Patrick Reagan. This will be an opportunity for you to hear training and racing tips, best practices and ask questions of these amazing athletes. RSVP for this event as seating will be limited. Grounded Running supports the Beaufort Track Club which was originally founded in 1976 and is a sanctioned USATF Club organization. The Beaufort Track Club meets weekly on Wednesdays at 6:30pm at the Beaufort High School Track and again each Saturday morning at 7:00am. Beaufort is also host to the 2017 Resolution Run 5k on Dataw Island this Saturday, Jan 14th, 2017 at 10:00am. This race is presented by the Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity. Registration will remain open unilt Jan 11, 2017 at 6:00pm. Click the race logo to register today! Visit beautiful Dataw Island for the 5th Annual Resolution Run 5K to benefit LowCountry Habitat for Humanity. Participants will have a fast, flat course.
